The analysts have always been pulling numbers out of their ass.

How did they determine that there are 10 to 30 million men with ED? Did they do a door to door survey? You know there is a big difference between 10 million and 30 million. In essence they are saying that the market might be 10 million but it might be 3 times as big.

These are the same analysts who claimed that Pfizer was going to make 11 billion in Viagra's first year. I guess they were off by over 90%.

Bottom line is that it really doesn't matter how many impotent men there are. What matters is how many impotent men there are willing to try a safe local alternative to Viagra and how many PCPs are willing to offer MUSE as an alternative. So far it doesn't look like too many PCPs even know about MUSE. If they do they sure aren't offering it as an alternative.
