The planet I'm from is about 4 light years away but that's besides the point.

In almost all cases a reverse split would be considered a bad move but there are the exceptions....take QNET for example..you post on alot of boards so you should know about their 10 to 1 reverse split in oct,98 which of course lowered their outstanding amount of shares in the marketplace & then 2 months later offer a 3 to 1 dividend on 1/06/99. The sell off of QNET was complete by the morning of 1/07/98 but in fact QNET appears to now have a base around the 12-14 range which will almost,in fact, guarentee them a listing soon & they now only have to deal with 711,000 outstanding shares total. The shares issued as a dividend were restricted & are not counted as outstanding.
