Ed, Tech2000:

I have lot of respect for your opinions.
But I would like to predict that 159 by end of this week(tech2000)
and 200 by early Feb(Ed's prediction) are not going to happen.
I also again disagree with Ed, Tech2000 that Split will be
announced next week.

A friend of mine bought Jan00 140 LEAPs back in July 98 when MSFT
was at 119 and paid 32 per contract and saw it shrink to $8 when
MSFT hit 88 in September. Luckily he held on and now it is at 28.
He is still under loss on principal and MSFT has to reach 172 by
Jan 2000 for him to breakeven on principal. Buying LEAPs is not
as slam dunk as you suggest. One has to be careful about timing
and valuations.
