John,

I have a HOT FLASH for all of you (and me).

That information on the MOBEX is apparently a unsubstantiated RUMOUR.

I just took the initiative to call my old haunting grounds and was told by the person in charge that there is no MOBEX planned and that they have been having to deal with the BS generated by these mass mailings.

My contact was a little P*ssed off about having to answer all of these questions surrounding this rumour. He told I wasn't the first to ask.

You have it from the horse's mouth. Which is just as credible as the author of email (who alledges to be involved in the command and control structure at NGB. Btw, NGB is a resource management entity. It has no command authority in itself. It is a political entity that coordinates the resouce requirements of the states and presents them to congress and the executive for appropriation.

Command and Control resides in the individual Hq (STARC) and at the Pentagon when a national emergency is declared.

So if there is no MOBEX planned, then who is attempting to spread suspicion and panic among the masses?? Is it a pratical joke or is there something more sinister afoot.

I vote for the ramblings of a overactive, paranoid imagination.

You heard it here first. (Hope NGB doesn't make a liar out of me.. :0)

Regards,

Ron
