This Internet phone is still just a computer. It's got a keyboard, and screen running an operating system. Didn't check what processor or operating system.

You probably aren't familiar with France's Minitel. It's a 10+ year old system almost like the Internet. It's never taken off anywhere else, maybe a language gap. It provided text based information on things like phone information, weather, news, etc. I don't know if it had e-mail. I kind of doubt it.

When I see this product, it looks a lot like an improved Minitel terminal, but with the Internet as the information source.

But thinking to what I would use, I'd not replace my current set up with such a phone. I would like to have mobility with a light functional device, but I'm very cost conservative. Line and device charges still hold me back. I'm still unwilling to pay for a mobile phone.

Regards,

Mark
