This pretty much sums it all up:

BT Alex. Brown analyst Shaun Andrikipoulos said in a note to clients that AOL has been building its base of customers at a rapid clip. AOL also will benefit as more and more consumers get on line, he said.

"The company has signed up more subscribers in the last seven days than it did in its first seven years of operation (181,000)," the analyst said.
