Wireless Home Communication Device Using Echelon's LONWORKS Networks Wins Innovation Award at 1999 CES
LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 11, 1999--Echelon Corp., a leading provider of control network solutions worldwide, and Axlon Electronics Corporation announced today that Axlon's PalmPal(tm) system has received the Innovation '99 Best of Showcase Honoree award in both the SOHO category and the Integrated Home Systems category at the 1999 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
PalmPal, a 900 MHz digital wireless key telephone system, uses Echelon's LONWORKS(r) control networks to provide two-way interactive control and information display -- giving users unprecedented freedom and flexibility in controlling their home environment, either from within the home or from a remote location.
