Anyone using @HOME ie ATHM modem?? Most useLESS POS service. 539 bytes per second ? Spent over 1 hour ON HOLD with local provider of @home
today; over 4 hours in total on hold on Friday .

Turns out was losing data packets from local provider to me. That has been corrected.

NOW I find out the problem is @home's fault (from @home to local provider) and quoting the technician "...backplane of AT HOME has had problems which they don;t like to acknowledge"

Anyone else have problems with at home? Told the local provider I was writing a letter to NY Times on their crappy management - no one should be on hold that long - and speeds that can be easily beaten by a 14.4 dial in modem.

I am a more than a little slow in the past hour - turtles can move faster!
