NSP-WEC merger was announced long ago .. the new company will be called Primergy .... They are running into some political snags in MN and WS due to opposition from some of the smaller investor owned and public utilities. I don't think it makes a lot of diffrence to NRGG whether the merger goes through or not. The best way for a regulated utility to increase earnings and share holder value is through its unregulated subsidiaries. I think Howards statement regarding expectations for NRG are telling...word on AOL board is some large deal in the works ... up again today on good volume. I have my own idea about what is happening but it is entirely speculation so I can't post it until I check it out.
