Awww, Kevin--

I'm sorry to have made fun. As you describe it, your behavior doesn't sound dreadful.

BUT you should be aware (and this has nothing to do with age) that some people are made extremly uncomfortable by public displays of affection. I'm one of them. What goes on behind closed doors is another question entirely, but you've got to get a grip on the difference.
