Maybe I could pick your brain a little more. This question of taxable and tax-deferred accounts has always intrigued me. Have you ever used other strategies like...an aggressive, volatile long in the IRA hedged by near or at-the-money puts in the taxable acct where you can let the long run and if the puts expire, its deductible ? Not internuts, the put prices are outrageous. Any ideas you have in this area would be much appreciated.
