1. Desktop Hard Drives are not designed to be removed and inserted repeatedly. This could result in worn out connectors and cracked solder joints.

What would you consider too frequent use? I would probably use the capability once or twice a month. Are there better quality removable bays that would minimize the connector problem?

2. Desktop Hard Drives are not very tolerant of jolts. The G forces associated with constant removal and insertion will most likely decrease the life of the drive.

I would most likely leave the drive in the machine until I needed it. Perhaps one or two on a shelf. I would find some other option for small file transfers..LS120 or Zip.
