24601, you once again fail to grasp my point. The point of my message was that there are alternative ways for PC makers to boost margins through software sales other than through WAVX methods.

If WAVX can do exponentially more that "just ESD", then you must be arguing the folliwng: IBM will hand out lucrative ESD work to others while it continues to mull over what to REALLY do with WAVX meters. How long has IBM been doing that now, 2? 3? 4 years?

It better be worth the wait, for your sake. Good luck.
