That is a common stereotype. Having money is not a sin. The point is where is your heart. Jesus may have told the rich young ruler to give it all away and follow Him because Jesus knew that the young man's heart was with his treasure and unless he could part with that treasure he could not be a disciple. But someone has to handle the money for God's work. There were those that did that when Jesus was here on earth as a man, and I'm not referring to Judas. And there is now and always has been.
