Bottom line is that we just rolled CRAPS.

The article asks if "we are about to enter a decades-long period of rising purchasing power, mind-boggling technological breakthroughs and increasing social harmony?  Numerous signs suggest that we are, much as the world did during the Industrial Revolution in the 1800s, the Renaissance in the 1400s and the Enlightenment in the 1700s."

Instead of causing economic chaos as it did in the 1930s, the article argues
that deflation will be the key to the beginning of a "Golden Age that will
last many decades."

Of course, there were similar articles in the press in the late 1920s after
the Fed had waved its Magic Wand of Liquidity.  The authors were certain
that panics (the term used for depressions at the time) were a thing of
the past and that a New Era was just beginning.
