A little fine tuning.....

NEW YORK, Jan 27 (Reuter) - Projectavision Inc on Monday said claims by a former employee that it was barred from using its patents were "absolutely false" and would proceed with the first quarter launching of its Digital Home Theater product.

The home theater product does not use the inventions in the patents assigned to the company by the former employee, Eugene Dolgoff, said Marvin Maslow, chairman of the company.

"We are proceeding as planned," Maslow said in a statement.

Frank Hawkins, a spokesman for the company, said the Digital Home Theater Product is a large-screen television powered by Texas Instruments Inc's <TXN.N> Digital Light Processor and other patents "that has nothing to do with Dolgoff."

Dolgoff, co-founder of Projectavision and the company's former chief scientist developed certain thin-screen technology whose rights to patents he had assigned to Projectavision. He had filed a lawsuit seeking to recover those rights, according to Projectavision.

On January 24, Projectavision said a New York court had appointed a temporary receiver for certain Projectavision patents in connection with the litigation.
