I want to say, if it hasn't been said, that this is the second time sgi gets into the Intel PC based world. Let's forget the past graphics board failure and focus on a much better attempt of today. I haven't seen this SGI PC yet, but regardless, no matter how fast it is, it is competing for a small portion of the marketplace. Of course, this is just my opinion. Nonetheless, the real question will be how much faster is it in 2D and 3D for CAD (where most of these machines will probably be sold) when compared to Integraph PC and Oxygen based systems. Also, what motherboard design advantages has SGI integrated that could make the machine a higher performance NT server? Once we get some serious performance answers then we could move ahead and address how much market share will they take away from Dell, CPQ, HP and the others. Man this is a crowded marketplace. I hope SGI can distinguish themselves by more than just faster graphics as even in the Unix world that hasn't helped the company stay profitable.

Good luck to all.

BTW, is the graphics in the VW a #9 graphics card?????
