<<Would it not be absolutely hilarious if MSFT was taking this stake in Banyan because they decided to actually purchase a real directory. Streetalk has always been a good offering and actually had several legs up on NDS at one point. They, just like Novell, manage NT better than it manages itself. This could turn out to be the crust of the ultimate pie in Gate's face.>>

MSFT had better hurry up. My ASND is getting taken out by LU this week, and NDS/SCADS is going to become a part of the very large
(LU)/ASND infrastructure that is already in place, and getting much, much bigger. The NDS/SCADS "core to edge" barbarians are going to be camped out around the perimeter of every NT and Cisco "enterprise" in two years, looking for the robust hook that will allow the "enterprise" to authenticate to the Internet. Will Active Directory facilitate this? What per cent of the $600 billion (LU projection) internet infrastructure buildout in 2001 will LU/ASND + NOVL be able to capture?
