From Yahoo#12400-- If you hate Asensio, PLEASE READ!
Let me say up front that this message is for those of you who have been hurt by Asensio & Company's short selling tactics.
Some of you may be familiar with the scare tactics of Manuel Asensio of Asensio & Company. He has recently attacked the stocks of HEB, BTIM, TRBD, and ABTE. I am cross posting this message in the HEB, BTIM, and TRBD boards if you are interested in seeing the demise of this complete ass (or, as we call him, Assman).
Last year, Asensio & Company started tearing apart Able Telcom Holdings (symbol ABTE). He has made it very clear publicly that he is short on this stock, and he expects it to trade for less than $1. In August, he beat the stock down with a barrage of press reports that basically said that the company was belly up, worthless, in default -- I'm sure all of you know what I mean.
Well, to make a long story short, ABTE hit an intraday low of 1 3/4 in the fall of last year. Believe it or not, Asensio did not cover (and admitted this to a Canadian investment magazine last week). Due to some positive developments at Able, and some positive comments coming out of Kaufman Brothers, Able's stock has begun to rebound. Six days ago, it was at 5 1/4. Today it closed at 10. It is has been widely rumored that he had a margin call at around 8 1/4. It appears that he is on the ropes, and has been issuing press releases that are, bluntly, insanity. Numerous ABTE shareholders have filed complaints with the SEC (myself included).
Vik Grover of Kaufman Brothers has put a conservative $23 twelve month price on this stock, and has privately said that it will go up $10 in 10 weeks due in part to the short covering that has begun this week, and to some very positive news that is forthcoming regarding ABTE's business.
Please understand, this is by no means a solicitation to buy ABTE's stock. Rather, it is an invitation to join the message board and relish in the joy that has been going on over the apparent demise of Asensio & Company. There are a lot of messages, so it may take a while to get caught up, but if you want to see this guy suffer, you will see it here.
