Your question presupposes that Clinton is important to anything much that goes on in this country. Now, if Alan Greenspan stroked- out, that might lead to a crash....The fact is that Clinton's main political virtue is his spineless devotion to his own hide, which has kept this country out of too much mischief, especially when the Republicans took over Capitol Hill in '94. Most liberals despised him for signing the welfare reform bill or entering into a restrictive budgetary agreement. However, he is strong on gay rights and abortion rights, and therefore Barbra Striesand and friends will man the barricades on his behalf. After all, he is the Not- Newt. That is his primary political identity---- Not- Newt. Face it---- most people don't care much one way or another if this guy is impeached, including investors. They just want to get it over with.
