Alex:

Of course this is the question of the day. Will inflation prevail or will the world sink into a world wide deflation/depression. It seems to me from all that I have read that virtually every country in the world including the good old USA is aware of the threat and they have opened the money spigot with a vengeance. There have been numerous posts on this site attesting to that. In my view, with the amount of money that is being printed, inflation is the only course.

Also, the leaders of the world are aware that the third world and new emerging economies are dependent on commodity sales for their economy. There is just too much money invested in these countries by US, Europe, etc. for them to let them go under without at least trying to boost commodity prices. Of course, there is the possibility that the thing has gone too far and it is too late to pull out. I kind of doubt that, but it is a real possibility. I think the odds are that we will see inflation which is probably far better than a depression.

Live long and prosper,

Little joe
