The call from Investor Communications does seem strange. I just got
off the phone with Mark Elenowitz @ Investor Communications. He told
me that often, he will have staff people call those on mailing list to
update them on ZMAX. Often, during the conversation, people will ask
about stock/company. If stock has recently been down (which in this
case it has), IC will say that it might be a good time to buy/add to
position. Again, it does seem strange and as a ZMAX long (fairly
substantial, for me), this ain't what I'd call the best news in the
world. Not enough to scare me out, either.

Investors/traders tend to fall into two distinct categories re y2k
stocks in general and ZMAX in particular - believers & non-believers.
I'm one of those believers. Belief in ZMAX mainly because of
alliances in place with Fiserv, WANG, HWP & EDS. Since back in Nov96,
I've found Mark to be a straight-shooter with no hype (or as little
hype as you can expect from an investor relations company).

According to Mark, the best is yet to come - ZMAX still "undiscovered"
with some strong "teammates" & <$90M cap. Contracts may come at any
time, some are already in place, ready for release once the lawyers
OK. Also, significant 3rd party endorsements due soon (within a few
weeks). February should be an interesting month, to say the least.

FWIW, Wall Street Strategies Jan. 6 issue touts ZMAX as a "Long Idea".
They claim that "those who know the company say, 'it has potential to
be a $40 stock mid-year'." I'm not counting on that, but it sounds
good, anyway.

Good luck,
David
