Keith,
It's not the individuals that are cranking these stocks up, it's the funds. The funds do about 70% of the trades. It's supply and demand of the stock, not the value of the company, just like it's always been.
As long as there are buyers the stocks will move up. Look at INTC up 10 yesterday and indicated up 10 at the open, talk about a bellweather stock. Individuals don't have the power to move Intel, it's too big, too many shares. Indications are pointing to a split for INTC after earnings are announced at the close today, the funds love splits.
