Yes, Iomega *was* just about dead two years ago. It took new managment and new products to produce today's Iomega. When Syquest gets those, it too can rise from the dead.

Yes, the Zip and LS-120 are "just FLOPPIES". That's exactly what I want! A new floppy standard. I don't need a replacement for my hard drive. I need a new kind of floppy. And now I have one.

As an Iomega stockholder I'm not worried about the EZ135 or any 128Mb floppy that might come from Mitsumi. It's too late for them. The LS-120, on the other hand, *is* a threat.

As a general rule, for this type of product, the first to market gets rich, the second makes money, numbers 3 thru 30 loose their shirts.

The LS-120 is a threat because of the market power of Compaq in the laptop arena.
