MGAM News!

CONCHO, Okla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 27, 1997--Multimedia Games, Inc., announced today that Carol Kallam, a long time bingo player who had never won more than $300, spun the MegaBingo jackpot wheel to capture $1 million on Saturday at Luck Star Bingo in Concho, Oklahoma, making her the 7th player to win or share the top prize.

MegaBingo, Inc., wholly owned subsidiary of Multimedia Games, Inc. (MGAM/NASDAQ) with headquarters in Tulsa, Okla., and operators of the nationwide MegaBingo satellite network, offers the only daily bingo game featuring the $1 million prize.

"The odds of winning are better than in any lottery," says Gordon Graves, chairman and CEO of the company.

Kallam, a 44-year-old housewife from Collinsville, Okla., qualified as a jackpot winner while playing MegaBingo at Cherokee Nation's Bingo Outpost in Catoosa, Okla. on January 11th by covering her bingo card in the first 50 numbers called. A coverall Bingo in 50 numbers or less earns players the chance to spin MegaBingo's jackpot wheel, located at the Lucky Star Bingo hall in Concho, a Cheyenne-Arapaho Tribes' community west of Oklahoma City. MegaBingo, Inc. produces the game live daily and transmits it via satellite to more than 50 participating halls in states across the country and in Washington, D.C.

The company expects to show the results of its high-stakes bingo games on national television later this year and is developing games that will create a $1-million dollar winner daily. Since its inception in 1988, the company has seen seven players win, or share, the $1 million dollar prize, while thousands of other winners have won over $65 million.

MegaBingo, Inc., produces 21 programs each week from the Lucky Star facility, utilizing a closed circuit satellite system interconnected to a telecommunications and computer network creating the only live inter-active high-stakes gaming anywhere.

An emotional Kallam said she had no immediate plans for her windfall following the spin. Kallam's husband, Gary, said he planned to be at work on Monday morning. The couple have been playing bingo for nearly 20 years, and previously, Mrs. Kallam's biggest win was $300.

Multimedia Games, Inc., through its wholly owned subsidiary, MegaBingo, Inc., has exclusive contracts with over 50 Indian nations to provide linked games that are integrated among multiple halls. Multimedia Games, Inc. is the nation's leading provider of linked high-stakes bingo games, electronic based bingo games and data processing services and products to the Indian gaming industry.
