Bobbie: IMO someone WILL buy out ZOLT.

But,

it will be at the bankrupcy auction in late 1998. ZOLT is WAY, WAY overvalued for what they are. They produce maybe 1 million pounds of carbon fiber today (real fiber not PANOX) and their market cap approaches $520MM whilst a company like Hexcel produces 4 million pounds of high margin carbon fiber and it only represents 10% of their total business and their market cap is $720MM.

This is not a suggestion to buy Hexcel, but I think ZOLT is totally out of line and is a stock being manipulated by the "big guys" to make money on hype. I expect the walls to come crashing down this summer when the year to year comparisons are washed of the acrylic acquisition last year. (Mark this prediction and you can check back with me around July).

Short term, I think it will bounce to around $45 and then fall off again (assuming no market crash). The big drop probably won't come until after next quarter's reports.

Then the trouble will start for ZOLT.

My two cents.
Flyguy.
