I'm sure somewhere, sometime (I'm not saying this is the case here) the senior management team of a publicly traded company decided to book sales in the current quarter for transactions which probably could have been booked the next. One possible reason may have been that year end bonuses were at stake. Another possible reason may have been that management truely believed that sales the next quarter were indeed going to grow significantly and that perhaps it was good judgement in getting more revenue into the current quarter.... in other words an attempt to manage the numbers, expectations, etc....

Again, I'm not saying that is the case here. I'm just thinking out loud.
