Vista Information Director Bought 837,521 Shrs

(NewsTraders.com) -- Vista Information Solutions Inc. (VINF), which on Jan. 4 announced a $5 million private placement of common stock with Century Capital Management Inc., appears to have sold a total of 837,521 common shares in the deal, according to a Form 4 released yesterday by the SEC.

Richard Freeman, listed as Century Managing Director in the press release and as a director of Vista in the Form 4 filing, purchased 837,521 common shares on Dec. 31, 1998, at $5.97 each, which amounts to $5 million.

Of note, Vista's common stock traded in a tight range of between $7.75 and $7.88 on Dec. 31, 1998, closing the day, and the year, at $7.75.

Freeman's stake in Vista is comprised of 942,176 shares, held directly, according to the filing.

Based in San Diego, Calif., Vista provides environmental risk information and address-based hazard and risk classification information to bankers, engineers and insurance companies.
