CIDCO INC. reported 4Q EPS of $0.02 vs $0.35 in the prior year period, on revenues of $57.1 mln vs $51.4 mln. Analysts' mean estimates were $0.38, according to First Call. Fiscal year EPS were $1.21 vs $1.51 in the prior year. (Reuters 04:36 PM ET 01/27/97) For the full text story, see merc.com ========= First Call said estimate was $0.38 and $1.21 for qtr & yr, respectively. Zacks, however, says $0.38 and $1.54. Zacks must have not excluded some writeoff while FC did. Anyone know? FYI: Zacks has $1.74 for next year, but if it really was 2 cents against 38 cents expected, next year is going to come down pretty quick. As I have said in an earlier msg, avoid stocks with "failing" estimates. I am thankful I got out around $18! WOW - look at the selling and marketing expenses this qtr!!!
