True! Their idea is to capitolize on the large base of existing Version 8 (hypersparc i.e. 32 bit software). The UltaSparc still runs the Solaris 32 bit operating system but requires Version 9 software applications that are still in limited supply. This reminds me alot of the use of 16 bit code with Windows 95. Their Dual 200Mhz Hypersparc can provide similar performance to the UltraSparc with current software for about 1/3 the cost. (Or so says Ross!) I would not be suprised to see Ross with a 64 bit system down the road.
I would not be too upset if earnings are bad for the last Quarter, if
the stock drops to 3 or below on bad news I will buy more, assuming the news isn't too bad!
