Intel reported $1.19 (vs $ 0.98 for 1997) for the quarter, beating the street and whisper estimate. But Intel's market share has plunged from 80+ to 69 % in the low end PC Chip sales. Revenues increased 15 % for the quarter. Companies like AMD are eating into its market share. Intel needs to lower prices, which puts even more pressure on the smaller guys. Let us see how things shape up from tomorrow on! Dogs like ISSI should start rising, otherwise it is not healthy for the small cap chip stocks. ISSI is not able hold even a $ 4.
