Okay, we both feel(:-) ) that we contain an aspect of God within ourselves

I am made in the image of God. se prior post for verse.

We both believe that you can commune with that God.

By prayer and petition. And there is another . I have been given the gift of the Holy Spirit.

We both even believe that it is possible to converse with God.

God has conversed with us all, He has left a record. And He even walked with us.If a conversation now opposes that I have to know why.
I have felt NO opposition to that in my walk other than by satan saying "did God really say this?" or "you surley will not die"

We all have souls, and we can all commune with them

I do not understand what you are saying here. Them is you is it not?

What makes a book more tangible than an actual conversation?

God's Word says I am to be on guard and watch out for any teaching other than what has been given. If any book says Jesus is not the Christ then it is antichrist and to be avoided. (not saying here that CWG is that cause I have not read it) but any book or anybody.

As an example, if i decide I do not like what I read in God's word about loving one another, am I free to just read what i can hate about someone in another book, apply it to my life, and still assume I should be acceptable in God's eyes?

dan

ps I have do-se-doed, cotton eye joed but have not feltsied!!!
