Republicans dont have a chance in 2000. The general populace used to be willing to overlook some of the far right issues the republicans push for the RR. Prayer in school, gay rights etc - your average citizen used to overlook that stuff even though they didnt agree with the right - because they were voting their pocketbook. But no more. And there will be no more republican majority in the house. I hope the republican leadership thinks bringing down Clinton was worth it.
