Coby, My mother always said that when she was in a tough position, this weird cold feeling came over her and everything got very clear and slow. I was fascinated that you said the same thing! She would have made a wonderful lawyer, as I'm sure you do- and maybe that's why! When I'm stressed, I go blank. Nothing gets through. I have a social autopilot that can smile, and nod, but can't be trusted to say things that make sense. And since groups over the size of one tend to send me into this state, I exist in a state of perpetual 3D fog. But here--here--the words all have meanings. I can turn them and twist them and play. EVeryone here seems so VERBAL. THough I often wonder if that translates in 3D-- or are they like me? (WHo let her out of the institution?) Lucid here and totally ditsy in real life?
