Man. I am impressed. You are a Fast Thinker, babe. Ooops, just an expression. I wonder how many humans would light the gas, if we gave them the stress test. This would be fun. We find out what percentage run down the street, run down the street screaming, run down the street screaming with the cat, run down the street screaming with the cat and the cell phone, etc ~ and I bet it's like your top two per cent who think to light the gas.
That's how I got fired from DuPont Explosives. No really, I'm impressed. Except with whoever hid the shut-off valve. If I had my way, there would be a way to shut off the valve without a wrench - because if you don't have one, your dentist won't let you. Oh I spose some would get shut off at the wrong times, but maybe we could figure something out - like say the wrench valve outside and an accessible hand valve inside.
How long was the flame? Lemme guess - about two and a quarter feet? Were you afraid when you lit it?
Gas beyond the meter (inside the house) is under .5 to 1 lbs a cubic foot of pressure I think. (Alex?) In the ground and beneath the meter, it's at about 35 lbs pressure. Seventy times as much. Don't back over a meter.
I wonder if I'm so impressed because you're smarter than I or if it's just really impressive.
