To Tim A: Hey you speak young peoples language Like the Q and you Doh. Why is old folks' language so tough for you? I forget that "a straw in the wind" may be beyond your knowledge and experience. Just like "rpt" was. :-) To try to translate. I was trying to suggest that the appointment of a high powered guy to a sub organization of the Q (which frankly I had never heard of) QWBS might mean that the Q is actually serious about using CDMA for data on a separate track - separate and distinct from voice - as Viterbi has said makes sense. He has said voice and data are more efficient separately than combined in CDMA services. Have been waiting for concrete moves in that direction. Thought this might be a signal that data was coming into its own not just as a means of transmitting voice more clearly and efficiently but in its own right as a means of getting data from A to B. Best regards. Chaz
