This is getting bizzare.. lying about sex is a long and honored tradition that goes back to the beginning of time. Men lie, women lie, its a basic and necessary instinct to both continue the availability of mating opportunities and to sustain a current relationship in stressful times. Its especially necessary for the times in life when adults aren't sure of their mate, or of their lives, and don't want to challenge the validity of the relationship to a death match or harm the other person. The problem isn't lying about sex... the problem is that we've imposed hypocritical morals and laws which don't fit instinctive or normal behavior. Sex and lying about sex is normal, hunting down and criminalizing lying about sex is an evil of government, religion and falsly applied morals. Are there times when lying about sex is wrong and should be the business of the law? Yes, of course there are many instances from rape to abuse, paternity, to a thousand other specifics. But prosecuting for lying about sex by consenting adults is none of anyone's business but those involved.
