<How about Datek? It seems that Datek is famous for their fast execution and reasonable commission ($10) except they do not have option trading at this time. Is it rumored that they are going to have option trading soon?> I think Datek will always be rumored to have option trading soon. It just never seems to happen. Active traders (not me) on the Datek thread complain that the site chokes on volume every morning for the first first half hour. There were long delays in getting my monthly statements (still waiting for last September's). Last October's statement from Datek didn't correlate with the statement sent to me by their accounting firm that was doing an audit. With all the debit/credit journal entries that occur when you buy on margin or sell short I hadn't a hope of keeping tabs on what they were doing given the terse, cryptic and did I mention late statements so I closed the account. I think that whole operation could blow up one day and we will be reading about it on page one of the WSJ.
