Victor, From an indexer's POV, beating the DOW by about 2% per year on the average with low beta stocks is no different than missing the DOW by about 8% per year on the average with 0 beta Treasuries or matching it with an index fund with beta of 1. Certainly not something that deserves an active portfolio manager's pay. -Apratim.
