I use a DOS program called FastLynx to transfer files from one puter to the other via a cable connected between serial ports.

I used to use the same software (same version) with Win 3.1, Win 95 and Win98. It works in Win NT now.

Let me know if that is useful to you. I should be able to email you the software - it's about 300K in all.
