Another reason I feel Cable is the winner after all is: It is much easier to combine cable TV service with Internet Service. A cable modem can be easily integrated with cable setup box that allows users to watch TV news and surf internet at the same time. Cisco just started to work on this box.

I don't see xDSL technology can blend in TV signals in twisted wires. Plus, SBC, GTE or AOL are not a TV content provider. In the long run, they are not in such a good position to compete with ATT/TCI @home alliance. ATT is no dummy to select a cable company to marry. They must have visualized the same future as I do.
