We are not ready for a bout with inflation. The FED must
adequately prepare the way first as they are currently
doing. The track they are on forces them to constantly have
to increase the quantity of reserves into the banking
system. Otherwise, they believe our economy or the
world's economy will recess. When the FED pumps, the
effective final demand thereby generated goes to the
producers of lowest cost. That's Asia. Aided by individual
domestic circumstances Asian manufacturers start
increasing runs. This eventually leads to a booming Asia. A
booming Asia uses up Asian capacity so our extra demand
then goes to our domestic high priced manufacturers. Our
capacity utilization rises. The unions, even at 10% of labor
force, sense they can push through inflationary wage
demands and they do. They have a lot of catching up to do.

You have to wait for boom in Asia before trouble can start
here. Is that likely? Very. Asia is now entering an extended
period of alternating booms and busts. This is the
macroeconomic nature of an emerging region especially
one with such dynamically competing countries.
