I just listened to the yahoo conference call. They addressed a few issues that have been discussed here. First, the Softbank story. (Softbank owns something like 30% of Yahoo and is reportedly responsible for 8% of revenues.) They (Yahoo) said that "Softbank" means 10 different companies that Softbank has an investment in. In the fourth quarter those ten companies accounted for 7% of revenues down from 8% in the third quarter.

They also said that there is a noticeable decline (maybe decline in growth rate) in traffic during december that is attributable to holidays (fewer people at work, fewer people at school) and they could see the recovery in January.
