In my last post I mentioned Coney Island. Wow, I was 180 degrees out of whack. Try Red Hook. Now, Red Hook is north along the waterfront from Sunset Park, NYRR Headquarters. NYCH barges into the Red Hook area to Atlantic Terminal (remember the coca business?). So if Waste Management builds this super-barge transfer terminal in Red Hook and then has no place to barge the trash, it could send it out by NYCH barges or their barges to the CHRR float bridge and yard in Greenville, NJ. That is a long shot, but it is some possibility for NYRR in the trash business.
