Actively enough (that is, for me) At the risk of sounding like a Schwab shill, there are three ways to conduct trading. I can:

1. Do it online at their web site,
2. Do it with a person over the phone, and
3. Do it over the phone using the old reliable touch tone thing.

I only had a problem one time(remember the mkt meltdown and then one day recovery?). Web site: overwhelmed. Phone lines to brokers: jammed. Option 3 worked...
