Being in the emerging markets arena, all I can say is don't underestimate what is going on in Brazil. It is a major US trading partner and one of the world's most robust economies. The Russian collapse, while staggering, really only impacted a handful of investment banks and emerging markets funds. Brazil is a different animal altogether.

However, that being said, it could present some interesting buying opportunities at the end of the day today or tomorrow (i.e. Schwab 1000, or some other broad index fund).

Just my opinion
RK
(also, I'm NOT on the TRADING side of emerging markets, so please regard my comments as opinions, only (don't run out and start shorting Brazilian IDU's or some such thing, please))
