I had a pretty good view of this one. Three things have to happen when you build one of these things: IT aligned with the business, change process, organization and structure to get some return on the technology, and adjust how you communicate inside and outside the company so you can use what you learn. This announcement parcels up the first item amongst EDS and NCR, the second item goes to AT Kearney, the last item is parceled between Kearney and EDS. I must admit that "information arsenal" is a new one. I smell the scent of NCR marketing.

NCR is the leader in very large data warehouse implementations and has a close relationship with Microsoft (go figure), as MS is interested in expanding NT platforms. EDS needs an edge in datawarehouse -- should be the leader since no one knows more about the data than EDS; so, the NCR/ATK is a nice package to compete and should bring some immediate wins to all parties.
