I often read the Wind River Systems thread. In fact, I have read it for the past year and it has been very informative of the opportunities and competition in the embedded systems and real time OS space. A recent post (post #3823 on the Wind River thread) is very interesting. It talks about the shortfalls of Windows CE and how Microsoft may help the many established OS and tool vendors in the coming years. It is worth reading and as I have mentioned in the past, I think to many people are disgarding the real time OS business at CCUR as a non-event. REgardless if they sell the business or not, it will be important to their future profitability (high margin software) or in the price they get paid for the entire real time business if they decided to sell. Check it out.
