640 Kbps, end of 99? That's not even half-T1...what happened to 4Mbps ADSL? That's a yawner. I'm in BEL territory where my local cable company is already providing 30 Mbps via cable modems and Roadrunner for $50/month. I'm afraid to ask what the price will be from BEL.

I realize the BEL beancounters get all excited about using "existing telephone wires". But why should the consumer share their enthusiasm?
