Alan, yes I think that it is an overall plus to get the intellectual property of Syquest as well as the potential of picking up some of their best engineers and production specialists. The machinery is also a good buy as I am sure it can be adapted to producing Zip and Jaz disks just as well as the older Syquest products. Now will Iomega also decide to support Syquest media for current owners of Syquest drives? After all the money IS in the Disks... or so I've heard. This will be an interesting story to follow. You are right, this definitely takes one competitor out of the game without worrying about another company coming along with deep pockets who would like to go up against IOM. Good move in the long run IMO.. Will be get back to 9+ later today? I think so. Mel
